Titel: Palermo 15. Januar Palermo (15 January, Palermo)
Material: Sand, Kies, Steine, Papier, Farbe auf Leinwand
60 × 50 cm.
The work refers to Renoir’s encounter with Richard Wagner in Palermo on 15 January 1882. Renoir admired Wagner. Taking Renoir’s own remark that he should have stopped the portrait earlier as a point of departure, I stopped painting before Wagner became recognizable. The work addresses the tension between artistic admiration and the political convictions of the admired figure.

Titel: Im Garten in Murnau 1911 - 2026

Material: Earth, Pebbles, Sand, Colour, Paper on wooden frame
67 x 67 cm
The work originated from Gabriele Münters Work Im Garten in Murnau. She lived 1911 together with Wassily Kandinsky in this small house in Murnau am Staffelsee. In the original painting Gabriele Münter is watering the flowers with a watering can. In "Im Garten in Murnau 1911 - 2026" the soil from the garden is part of the picture plane, but there is no person present - still the ideas are growing since then.
